A Midlifer's Guide to Content Creation and Profit

BY AZU ISHIEKWENE

About the Book

A Midlifer’s Guide to Content Creation and Profit argues that older adults can profitably interact with and expand their frontiers in the evolving landscape, despite the challenges of adapting to new technologies and social media.

It also argues that the social values that shaped them, particularly those in midlife, can help them adjust. Yet, social values are not enough. They must be reinforced with know-how and the ability to identify and apply information to beneficial, practical use. This guide sets out to fill that vital knowledge gap for midlifers.

“Finally, a book to bridge the great tech divide between older and newer generations and open the minds of midlifers to the borderless possibilities surrounding them in the new world. This is a fascinating and engaging work from the peerless teacher who practises what he preaches.”

  • Bridging generations with purpose:
The book helps readers relate better to younger generations — Gen Z and Millennials — while maintaining the discipline, integrity, and values that define their own.

Ayisha OsoriAuthor of Love Does Not Win Elections
“A midlifer's guide to content creation and profit is both counterintuitive and logical. At a time when the concept of the individual as a ’brand' waxes stronger, there is also alongside the sense that the older generation should fade away to make room for the new and more savvy. This book challenges the idea of being put out to pasture with encouraging evidence, that aided with technology, there is no best before date for meaningful content and cultural production.”
Waziri AdioA highly Reputed Author and Columnist.
“This is a timely and invaluable primer for Generation Xers, as well as others in older and younger generations, who might be feeling left behind by or lost in the rapidly evolving digital age. In this book, Azu Ishiekwene offers more than tips on how to monetise content or how digital immigrants can naturalise into digital natives. He, thankfully and thoughtfully, delves into how to wrestle with the complexities and peculiarities of the new age and still find meaning and purpose. I recommend the book highly to all, not just to its target audience.”
